Hey everyone! Welcome to Moonlight Forums V2. Back in January of 2024, Moonlight Forums crashed. After many months of investigations, I found it was because of a number of reasons. Our service provider limited our database connections resulting in corrupted data, the version of Flarum (forum software we use) was waay to outdated, too many extensions, etc.
I always wanted to re-start Moonlight Forums but because I was turning Moonlight into a open source software, we started running into issues but just this morning I finally came to a solution. The forum is now on the BYOD server meaning any official or BYOD links will have the forums, any self hosted links will not.
Anyways what does V2 have to offer?
- Private DMs feature
- Neon live chat
- Other things
- Live post updating
This is really just a re-make of the of the old form but this time hosted waaayyy differently. I ate the rate limits so they no longer exist 😐. Basically I spend all day today making sure this forum doesn’t crash and crash out so ive split it onto two servers that are backed up daily.
